Stour Cottage

It is regret that Stour Cottage is no longer available for holidays.

Stour Cottage is a two-storey town house, modern but built in period style in a mews development. It is quietly situated, with tree-lined walks nearby, yet only 200 yards from the town centre with its shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and other amenities.

Gas central heating will keep you cosy whilst wi-fi will keep you connected. Bed linen and towels are included in the price of this cosy little holiday cottage.

Ground floor:

  • Living/dining room with dining table and chairs, gas fire, TV, DVD player, books and other entertainments, plus a comprehensive guest information folder.
  • Kitchen: Well-stocked with electric oven and gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, microwave, washing machine and a full range of crockery, eating and cooking utensils.

First floor:

  • Double bedroom with a distinctly romantic feel thanks to the four-poster bed and antique dressing table. A chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe should meet all of your storage needs.
  • Bathroom: Full-size bath with power shower over plus WC.

  • Courtyard garden with patio table and chairs and rotary washing line. Guests also have the use of a secure garage.

The Sandwich area

Sandwich is said to be the most complete medieval town in the country with its maze of narrow streets and high concentration of half-timbered houses. The majority are listed buildings of historical interest.

Sandwich is home to a multitude of eating and drinking spots, a riverside quay and the Lutyens-designed Salutation Gardens. Sandwich Bay and Richborough Roman Fort may be found just outside the town. Historic Canterbury is within easy reach, as are the seaside towns of Deal, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate and Dover.
