The Gate House

The Gate House is a truly unique holiday home with the look and feel of a medieval castle, complete with canopied bed. It features beams and other period touches alongside such present day luxuries as gas central heating, a fully-equipped kitchen and wi-fi.

The house dates to 1850 and is grade II listed. It is believed to have originally been the gate house to officers' accommodation for the Dover Castle garrison, who were quartered in the splendid Victoria Crescent. The Gate House underwent complete refurbishment in 2011/12 to transform into high quality holiday accommodation.

It stands part way up a hill, close to Dover Castle and handy for the town itself with its full range of amenities. Free roadside parking is available. Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

What an enchanting place for a honeymoon or to celebrate that special birthday or anniversary.
